Coronavirus has disrupted the lives of everyone around the globe. Financially, Emotionally, Physically and Mentally. With lockdown announced in most countries including mine, I had hoped to write and possibly complete the first draft of Book #2 in EG Series by this time, but due to other commitments and circumstances, the book is yet to be completed. I do have a name for it, by the way, which I’ll disclose once the draft is complete.
But the good news is that each day that goes by, I’m able to make some progress. Truth be told I had reached a writer’s block couple of weeks ago, as I wanted to write about events that wouldn’t make sense unless the readers know the backstory. Perhaps I got overexcited and stopped writing. But that’s over.
Talking in numbers, I have written close to 45% of the book, and hope to complete the first draft by May 2020. My commitments to upgrade the interface of FirstFate is slightly taking precedence, however, I’m good at multi-tasking (#HumbleBrag ??). The final word count is expected to be similar to the first one i.e. 140,000 words.
I have been receiving messages on social media about the excellent response to Book #1 – The Secret of the Missing Night, and I’m delighted to hear from everyone of you. I might not reply immediately, but rest assured, I have read every feedback and criticism thrown my way, as I try to get the rest of the books out. I love you all!
Finally, Congratulations to everyone who are doing there part in controlling the spread of coronavirus by practicing social distancing. It is apparently new to a lot of people, I have learnt. Introverts like me, aren’t holding our breaths like the others. Important time for self-reflection.
A huge shout-out to the health workers, doctors, nurses and other medical personnel who are doing there best and some more, in this troubling time. You deserve everything you ask for.
